An inadvertent series exploring the visual language of Neue Merz Style (see collections) and my love for Kansas City’s MLS team, Sporting KC. The title is an acknowledgement of the influence of the original series “Sucker for Soccer” by Zoran Lucić. However, through the course of its production, several other Soccer/Futbol series have appeared.
Excellent work by designers like Giuseppe Vecchio Barbieri, Sam Lane, Ben Topliss, Robert Broadbent, Lasse Betzer, Dylan Giala, Luke Barclay, and Joe Bargus has lead me to the conclusion that the Futbol Poster is [un]officially a genre of poster design.
